Anxiety Resources

A deep pit of fear sits in your stomach and your chest. You’re worried the worst will happen, as it has happened before. You can’t stand how this fear and worry takes over your mind and body. It has ended friendships, relationships, interfered with work, and personal goals. It prevents you from being present, often feeling worried the past will repeat itself or that the future won’t show the fruits of your labor. You don’t know how to let go of this anxiety because it secretly keeps you safe and hyper-productive - often distracting you from the real events that cause you pain. This is an exhausting way to live. You are always fighting yourself, never really landing on anything stable, unless for once you get lucky. You know things need to change, but staying where you are feels safer. You know you can’t live like this forever so, what do you do? Well, as a therapist, I am a bit biased, but therapy is your answer to breaking this anxiety and panic attack cycle. However, I understand not everyone can show up for therapy for a variety of reasons. Below are trusted resources and tips for managing anxiety outside of therapy.
