Your confidence has plummeted. You got injured, lost your starting spot, performance has suffered, or retired and don’t know who you are or what to do next. You used to feel on top of the world. Decision making feels harder than ever, you doubt yourself now. You feel irritable, sad, lonely, and out of sorts. You ask yourself "Why me?" When you retire, keep messing up a skill, have mental blocks, get anxious, or get injured…what the hell do you do? Cue working with me.
We don’t always meet our goals, and for us perfectionists, that is an ego killer. You already sacrificed a normal life with friends/family, hobbies, other income, you know a life? You can’t lose this, too.
Mental toughness and skills are 80% of success. You have a team for the physical concerns so, let's get you someone for the mental concerns, too! Together we create a customized plan to crush goals and get back to what you do best, WIN.

Importance of a Sport Therapist -
You feel misunderstood, lonely, and behind in life. On top of that, you went through trauma(s); making everything seem negative and shitty. You have these goals, but can't seem to meet them. You feel trapped in an exhaustive loop where happiness doesn’t frequently exist and you keep making the same “mistakes.” Trauma and anxiety take stabs at your self-esteem. Cue EMDR.
EMDR decreases your symptoms quickly! It allows you to believe you ARE enough, lovable, and deserving. It minimizes worry, sadness, anger, doubt, and grief. Relief happens here. To learn more about EMDR, read my blog about it here
I also work great with clients who want healthier relationships. Together, we heal attachment wounds, establish healthy boundaries, increase self-awareness, and make LASTING changes. Discover your attachment style here

“I am a failure”
“I don’t deserve healthy love”
“I am not enough”
Cara had constant anxiety and fatigue. On the surface, she looked successful and happy, but on the inside she was frustrated by her failures. She saw couples on IG and rolled her eyes and often compared herself to others. She felt insecure, yet had random confidence boosts, felt unpopular, yet well-known, and had goals that never seemed to get accomplished.
Fed up with endless exhaustion, she reached out to therapists and found the right fit. She learned that unhealthy people in her life made her believe she was unworthy and not lovable. After EMDR, Cara was able to see she was not the problem. With newfound confidence and self-appreciation, she crushed her goals and is living her best life.

Grief Therapy
Not all grief work is about death. Sometimes we end a relationship that was important, move away from friends/family, struggle with life’s changes and our own identity, or set firm boundaries with people who used to take advantage of us. No matter the type, it’s hard.
Grief is tricky. Contact Stephanie to figure it out here

Get to know me!
I’m originally from Louisville, KY (Go Cards)! I moved to TX in 2017 to begin my journey to become a psychotherapist and sport psychologist. I’m not the therapist who’s going to ask “how does that make you feel?” I’m the therapist who’s going to call you out, laugh about it, and then help you find a better path. Balance
I was the kid in high school who had “friends” in every group. I was a nerd who found pride in my 4.0 GPA, a jock who wore my jersey on game days, got invited to “popular” kids parties, but also loved a kickback with the “rejects.” I’m still like this today. I’m by far the biggest Harry Potter nerd you’ll ever meet, but also love talking smack on the volleyball court. These experiences helped me to relate to anyone.
In my free time, you can find me in the gym, on the Katy Trail, playing volleyball, relaxing with my cat, Millie, kicking ass at game nights, attending pro games, or curling up with a good book (I love a good murder mystery).
