  • Through talk therapy with me, we will chat about whatever is going on in your life that is no longer serving you.

We will laugh, cry, and learn a few things, but most importantly, we will take it at your pace.

I treat therapy like a casual conversation, meaning I listen and talk with you, not at you, and I use humor and sarcasm frequently. Think of chatting with a friend at a coffee shop, only I know a thing or two about mental health - how to support you and guide change.

The Therapist Who Helps You Not Need Her Anymore!

   “I can’t do this”

   “I don’t deserve help”

“I can’t do it on my own”

On Annie’s daily commute to work, she commonly found herself zoning out and crying. She felt beaten down by a boss she did not agree with and exhausted by giving so much at work that she had nothing left for herself at home. The only escape she had, sleep, was even giving her trouble.

One day she decided she had enough and didn’t want to keep living this way, so she sought out a therapist. She worked hard in therapy to open up and implement the changes and coping skills her therapist gave her. Now Annie has a new job, sees her friends often, and is taking good care of herself.

Therapy for Anxiety

Anxiety is a B*tch that feeds on fear. Combining coping skills to help distract and relax with thought analysis and modification will help reduce anxiety symptoms, but ultimately the goal is meeting fear with self-compassion.

Therapy for Eating Disorders

Eating Disorders develop as a coping mechanism for something going on in life. My approach to treating eating disorders is to work on the immediate behaviors while also discovering, processing, and healing the underlying need for the eating disorder.

Therapy for Burnout

The accumulation of stress and exhaustion leads to walking through life on auto pilot. By learning to reduce and manage stress, finding rest, relaxation, and joy, you can live again with passion and connection.

Therapy for Relationships

Fighting with your friends or family? Crying after work because your co-workers stress you out? Relationships have a major impact on your daily functioning, especially your relationships with yourself. By figuring out your boundaries and learning to give and receive compassion, you can heal your relationships.

Therapy for Depression

Depression can be like a vampire draining all the energy and life out of you. By being with you, listening to you, and supporting you in making changes to bring you out of the darkness, you can reconnect with yourself, your friends, your family, and your passions.

Get to know me…

Growing up I was always the person my friends came to and leaned on when they needed someone to talk to, so when trying to figure out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, I reflected on my greatest strengths, listening and compassion.

In college I embarked on a journey to figure out the best way I can help people. Again leaning on what I knew, I started down the path of becoming a sports psychologist, but my mentor gave me the best advice to go and get my counseling degree first. I will forever be grateful for that advice because along the way I found out my true passion is the same as when I was a kid, being the shoulder people can cry on and feel safe talking to about their various problems, anxiety, depression, family issues, feeling lost or unaware how to change. Because of this, my counseling approach feels similar to one of a friend (that you only talk to for 1 hour a week :), only I know how to support you and help guide change in your life.

P.S. my southern accent pops out on occasion, and when it does it is usually pretty entertaining!
